When it comes to full-size trucks, you already know about the two big names on the market. Chevy and Ford spend a ton of money touting their truck’s capabilities and boasting about their sales numbers. Don’t misunderstand us, they are both high-quality pickup trucks. After all, they wouldn’t be where they are today if they weren’t. What those guys may not be ready to admit, however, is that the RAM 1500 equals their trucks and, in some areas, even surpasses them.
Here’s the deal:
The RAM 1500 has just as much power, towing and payload capacity as those other trucks. It’s also got something they don’t have. When you go with the RAM 1500, you can actually choose from a wide variety of luxury interiors. In fact, many automotive pundits rate the RAM’s interior on higher-end trim levels as the best on the market.
For many pickup truck owners and drivers, the experience inside their truck is more important than being able to haul forty thousand pounds of dirt up a jagged rock incline. That’s an exaggeration, but you get the point. Most trucks are used vehicles for everyday transportation, and no other truck comes close to the luxury interior options of the RAM 1500.
Consider this idea:
Why not come down to Doug Henry Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM and experience a RAM 1500 up close and personal? When you take a test drive, you can get a real feel for just how luxurious the interior of this truck is. Our Kinston, NC RAM dealership can also save you a ton of money when you purchase or lease a new RAM 1500. Just contact us online to schedule a test drive, and then come see us at 4051 W. RAM has made the 2022 RAM 1500 models even more appealing to buyers. You can expect some welcome changes to enhance your ride. This year’s line-up has new trims, including the G/T package for the Laramie version. Also, there are new elements with the exhaust system and cold-air intake, not to mention a console-mounted shifter. In addition, new to the line-up are the Rebel and the BackCountry. The BackCountry provides fun elements for off-roading. Also, there is the 10th Anniversary Edition, which is a luxury option with standout badging in the interior and outside.
Dodge had been in the truck business for decades, but didn’t actually add the RAM nameplate to one of their trucks till 1981. The Dodge RAM was originally offered in 150 (1/2 ton), 250 (3/4 ton), and 350 (1 ton) designations. In 1994, the designations changed, and the 150 was rebranded as the RAM 1500.
In 2002, the third generation of the RAM 1500 debuted sporting a new frame, suspension, engine options and interior equipment. This was also the year that Dodge debuted the 5.7L Hemi engine that would become famous alongside the RAM brand.
Dodge spun RAM off as an entirely separate brand in 2010. This shift also brought major changes to the RAM 1500 in looks, horsepower and interior options. Four years later in 2014, the RAM 1500 was offered with a diesel engine option. This was the first time in over 20 years that the truck offered a diesel powerplant.
