Jeep has issued a variety of updates for the 2022 Compass. A tablet-inspired touchscreen now comes with a contemporary Uconnect infotainment system, and the Compass sports new styling across its dash as well as its front fascia. The Latitude Lux trim debuts with a leather interior, the larger touchscreen, and all-wheel drive.
In addition to the new touchscreen, the 2022 Compass can be equipped with tech options like smartphone integration, navigation, and voice recognition. For added safety, Jeep offers driver assistance features like lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking.
The updated interior blends style with comfort with smooth surfaces and soft seating. Adult passengers will have plenty of room to ride and relax even over long trips, with posture support in both rows. The boxy cab shape provides ample overhead space as well, and stowing your cargo is easy thanks to the convenient storage area.
The 2022 Compass runs on a 4-cylinder engine, and Jeep offers shifting via either a six-speed automatic transmission or a nine-speed automatic. The crossover remains balanced on streets and highways, and it lives up to its Jeep name by tackling trials with confidence. When you need to prepare for changing terrain, you can toggle between various drive modes for sand, mud, and more.
Jeep released the Compass compact SUV in 2007 to offer their own take on the popular crossover vehicle. Designed to complement their renowned durability with city-friendly style, the original Compass came in a selection of packages and options, and it was broadly customizable to appeal to a wide variety of drivers. Jeep redesigned the Compass in 2010, coinciding with the sharp rise in demand for versatile SUVs. The second generation featured a high-quality cabin and new tech, and Jeep soon enhanced the value with an available off-roading package. The SUV entered its third generation in 2017, complete with more technology options as well as sporty new looks and engaging performance.
