It uses a 3.6-liter V6 providing 260 lb-ft of torque and 285 horsepower and a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 horsepower. A 6.4-liter V8 engine delivering 470 lb-ft of torque and 470 horsepower is available on the exclusive Rubicon 392 Final Edition model.
Transmission options include a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The eight-speed automatic transmission is available for the V6 engine. Every Wrangler model also comes standard with four-wheel drive, and various capable 4-wheel-drive systems are available. The Sport trim provides a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. On the other hand, the four-door Rubicon model offers a maximum available towing capacity of 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
