It’s no secret that Jeep makes a full lineup of vehicles that excel at tackling the trails and off-roads around North Carolina with ease. It’s why so many drivers who like to add a bit of excitement and adventure into their drives opt for one of Jeep’s classic vehicles. Until the 2020 model year, a midsize pickup was notably absent from Jeep’s lineup, marking more than 25 years since a pickup has been part of the Jeep family.
But all of that changed when the Jeep Gladiator was re-released for the 2020 model year. Styled and modeled closely after the iconic Jeep Wrangler, the new Gladiator is the perfect pickup for those who want that classic Jeep ruggedness and capabilities in addition to all of the power, prowess, and capacities associated with the midsize pickup class.
The Jeep Gladiator combines all of this flawlessly into a truly one-of-a-kind pickup truck that’s perfect for truck shoppers who have always wished that they could make their favorite Jeep into a truck. The Gladiator offers a comfortable and confident ride with a roomy cabin. Inside, an impressive amount of cutting-edge technology and safety features that add extra peace of mind to every drive. Plus, the Gladiator’s bed adds utility and cargo space that allow you to carry a variety of cargo.
If you want to get an even bigger value out of your Jeep Gladiator, consider purchasing a pre-owned model. The 2020 model year was the first year that the Jeep Gladiator was available, and it became an instant success with truck shoppers who wanted more capabilities from their trucks.
There are four 2020 Jeep Gladiator trims:
The S trim offers a transfer case, skid plate, cloth upholstery, a rearview camera, a 5-inch touchscreen, eight audio speakers, two USB ports and Bluetooth® connectivity. Upgrading to the Sport S trim adds power windows and locks as well as the ability to add a variety of packages that add various features such as smartphone connectivity, driver assistance features, or heated seats.
The Overland trim comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto, and more USB ports. The Rubicon trim tops the list with additional off-road features like front and rear locking differentials, a sway bar, rock rails, and a brush guard, as well as 33-inch tires and premium sport cloth upholstery. You can equip the Overland and Rubicon trims with all of the packages available in the Sport S trim.
The base engine in the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. You’ll be able to choose between either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission as well as part-time four-wheel drive or heavy-duty part-time four-wheel drive.
Like the interior, the power and capabilities of the Jeep Gladiator can be customized with several packages that add options like a towing hitch, Dana axles, and cargo management solutions.
